I started and played the full match at right centre-back in a back 4. I had a great game, and was strong all-around. My instructions were to get the ball forward, which I did successfully more often than not, and to do my job as a defender first before anything. As a team, we dominated the majority of the game and had more chances. We had played this same team 6-weeks ago where we lost 3-1 and I didn’t play, but this time around it was a different story and we outplayed them and kept them quiet for the most part. I had good moments on the ball, lots of clearances later in the match as we defended a 1-0 lead, and also a chance where I was able to get up the field and had a pass was a few metres too far forward for a potential assist.

I was given props after the game for a great performance, and all around it was a resounding win for the team after having an underwhelming season so far for a team with the talent we have. We go onto the semis and put our focus back into the championship for the meantime.
