Third Division Cypriot Championship: Round 2 THOI vs Mouttagiakas

Final Score: THOI 0 -0 Anorthosis Mouttagiakas

My full debut as a first-team player, my first start in a championship match with 3 points on the line for THOI Lakatamias.

I started at right centre-back and played 66 minutes. A solid performance from myself, with good moments and points of improvements as always. Certain points of improvement for myself include being more assertive aerially and not letting the ball bounce in my defensive area. It is something I can do but will come with more experience and understanding. Another point of improvement is knowing where/how to pass in different moments, and also being sure to scan more to fully understanding my surroundings and the situation I am in before going forward with the decision I make.

Positives included my ball-playing out from the back, keeping the defensive line organised, and being reliable all-around.

I haven’t had much match intensity in the last 2-3 weeks so I wasn’t able to play out the full match, and the heat also played into that.

A good start and more to come as I try to secure my spot.
